The privacy is nonexistent with a shower behind a see-through door with a poorly designed handle, making modesty a concern. The toilet is in a tiny space without a proper lock, and its cleanliness left a lot to be desired, with signs of neglect around the facilities. No tea or coffee amenities in the room add to the inconvenience as you need to go to reception for basic refreshments. Lastly, the bunk bed setup is impractical for adults, as not everyone can navigate the top bunk, not to mention the linens being left to sort themselves.

I found the Ibis Budget Glasgow to be a charming and clean hotel with friendly staff. The layout was easy to navigate, making it very accessible for seniors like myself. I also appreciated the complimentary hot drinks available at all times.

I enjoyed my recent stay, as I found the staff super friendly and the breakfast better than expected with plenty of options, making for a lovely start to my city explorations, particularly since I could easily walk to the Riverside Museum of Transport and Travell and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum within 30 minutes for some fabulous landmark views.

It was just a smart choice for a quick trip in Glasgow with value for money. The coffee shop nearby served great gelato that I loved. Try to check out the breakfast buffet for a good start to the day.
